On May 31, 2018 Intuit will be discontinuing services related to QuickBooks Desktop 2015. While active versions of Desktop 2015 will continue to function, some services will be disabled. As such, Intuit Education will no longer be able to provide new copies of Intuit Education to educators as of June 1, 2018 and students will not be able to receive new copies of the software after August 1, 2018.
We are committed to developing financial tools that help you today and grow with you tomorrow. But it's a balancing act–making QuickBooks better while still supporting older versions.

Yes, all issued copies of Desktop 2015 will continue to work. However, services such as online payroll and banking will be discontinued on May 31, 2018.
To accommodate summer school courses, eligible students will still be able to request and receive a 5-month trial of Desktop 2015 until August 1, 2018. The license will be valid for 5-months following the date it is activated.
The student licenses found in new textbooks will continue to be functional. However, supplies may be limited. If you have any further questions, please contact your textbook provider.
